From famine to feast

That's how it feels with Sametime in the last few months. Going from a product that felt like it was on life support at one point and the next SmartSuite, Sametime has gone through a bit of a resurgence at IBM and it's all goodness for customers and partners that are heavily vested in Sametime like my company Instant Technologies.

In the last few months we have gone from maybe one or two developworks articles a year, to maybe one or two in a month, it really is great! I do have a small worry that IBM believes future Sametime applications are only going to be plug-ins, but as IBMers build more and more plug-ins I beleive they will realize the value and importance of the other toolkits.

If you haven't seen them then here are a few of the recent developerworks articles around Sametime.

Gravatar Image1 - Thanks for recognizing the effort the ST team is putting into making the new release a success. I think the new release has a lot of IBMers energized and that plus organizational commitment result in the kind of output you are seeing. Now we need to keep moving -- having just approved more Sametime sessions for my Lotusphere track than any prior year, I think things are going in the right direction.
