Lightscribe is cool but slow

Category
My new laptop has a DVD burner with a feature called lightscribe. What this means is that if you have the special lightscribe media, you can burn a label onto the D/DVD with the burner in the PC without having to print to a label and then struggle to stick the label on etc. The label is not in colour, but has a kind of gold tint to it and does look high quality (examples here). Sadly it takes about 25 minutes to burn/print a full CDs image so I won't be making many lightscribe disks, but in the situation where I want to someone to have a DVD with a high quality manufactured look then it seems a pretty good solution.

Gravatar Image1 - Better solution is to use an Epson printer that will print onto a CD / DVD. Example Epson R220 Great little printer

Gravatar Image2 - Does it fit inside my laptop?

Gravatar Image3 - No but your laptop and printer would fit into an Airline Pilots bag

Gravatar Image4 - This Nimbie provides an automated way of labeling LightScribe and gives yourself more free time...
