Zidane just demonstrated with great effect that if you kick the ball hard enough you can score penalties against the Portuguese goalie.

Gravatar Image1 - Maybe Zidane should write, Shooting penalties for Dummies ? (I think there may be a market for such a book in England) In any case, we sent these guys back home. I will be in Portugal next week, I will try not to brag too much. But then again I'm French..... To be honnest, Portugal played a good game....But the french goalie earned his paycheck tonight, we played good defense.

Gravatar Image2 - ZZ is incredible. Ricardo demonstrated in the prior match that he is an outstanding keeper, but there was no way to stop that shot. And the way Zidane just took a few steps and pounded the ball ...even with Ricardo again guessing the correct side, that shot was going to score!

Zidane has been a joy to watch throughout the cup. He has been all over the field, and his footwork continues to amaze. My hope now is for a fresh World Cup title for France.
