Workplace Brand and Workplace Products

Category
On Ed Brill's blog I commented that I felt most customers were still confused around the IBM Workplace Brand and the IBM Workplace Products. I'm interested to know if I'm accurate in that interpretation so I've changed my poll on the right to try and do a larger than Radicatti survey group on peoples understanding of the difference between the two. Perhaps when you hear Workplace you hear product, perhaps you hear Brand, I still find it very confusing and beleive that "most" IBM customers do too.

FYI The Sametime WebEx poll gave the following results...

WebEx and Sametime

We use Sametime and WebEx: 9 votes (36%)
We use Sametime and WebEx(36%)

We use Sametime and LiveMeeting/Placeware: 2 votes (8%)
We use Sametime and LiveMeeting/Placeware(8%)

We use only Sametime: 11 votes (44%)
We use only Sametime(44%)

We use only WebEx: 1 votes (4%)
We use only WebEx(4%)

We use only LiveMeeting/Placeware: 0 votes (0%)
We use only LiveMeeting/Placeware(0%)

We don′t use anything: 0 votes (8%)
We don′t use anything(8%)

Gravatar Image1 - Wow, so 88% of the world uses ST, and 8% uses live meeting... you read it here... let the seminar brochures be printed.

Gravatar Image2 - Who says that Radicati Group is the only one allowed to use misleading statistics?!?! Everyone knows that 63% of all statistics are made up on the spot. Or was that 64%? On the plus side, at least your sample size was BIGGER than theirs!!!!

Gravatar Image3 - The question of branding/product line was taken up by the wise Italian stallion, Roberto Boccadoro, at http://www.rhs.com/web/blog/thenewblack.nsf/d6plinks/SMOK-6MHCHS

Your poll is doing something funny -- the results only add up to about 65%.

Gravatar Image4 - There seems to be some bug in the view results, these are the current correct results from the poll
