A nice story about Sametime and Quickplace downunder...

Toyota board drives paper away. Wouldn't it be great if Quickplace had the shot in the arm like Sametime is receiving?

Gravatar Image1 - Good story. Would be good to see more of this kind of thing out there...the wins on innovative application of software.

I'd love to see Quickplace get more attention. Going from 2.x to 3.x was nice, but it seemed to me to be more of a "here's some fixes for things that were a pain in 2.x" release. 3.x to 6.5.1 they almost could have skipped of 3.x would run on Domino 6.

I missed the Quickplace sessions at Lotusphere but in the Domino.doc one I was in, the dev team got the message that something needs to be done about the UI. I just hope that the QP team got the same kind of message.

Gravatar Image2 - The QP session was pretty good, and the stuff coming down the pipe (document versioning, hiding old versions, more robust programmability, less-obfuscated templates, possible Linux server) look pretty nice.

Gravatar Image3 - It's a shame they use Excel and Power Point and not 123 and Freelance

Gravatar Image4 - Uh, yeah.

Not that it matters to me or anything.
