Well another year ends, another begins so time to review and time to plan for the next...
It's hard to believe, but in the New Year Instant will be celebrating it's 4th birthday. 2005 was a great year for us with new staff, new products, new customers and 330% revenue growth year on year so not too shabby. In the New Year I am looking to hire a full time professional to work with me, so we can ensure we great growth again in 2006 and success with our new products and partners. Everyone continues to work hard and things have pretty much gone along the lines of what we thought would happen and predicted in our business plan, so for us currently the focus on Enterprise Instant Messaging has worked well. Hey and we sponsored a parachute team
For me personally I had a mixed year, I had a great few months in Paris to start the year and was fortunate enough to get approved for a new visa (even with my comments about GW). I also managed to put back pretty much all of the weight I lost in 2004 back on in 2005 (yes the world's slowest yo-yo), so you can probably guess the new years resolution for 2006. This year I had two Live Free or Die Trying Golf tournaments and I've already started planning for the 2006 one. The countries have been decided for the 2006 World Cup and my fingers are crossed that my brother in-law and I get drawn for a couple of tickets in January. The design for my new worldcupde.com website is underway and should go live in April or May sometime. Jessie is great and every one in the offices likes having her around, although they need to give her less treats. She coped with the trip to Paris, and enjoyed riding the Metro and eating out in fancy French restaurants. She's currently enjoying the snow and ice and is hoping for an early new year snow storm.
Concering the industry, I have some predictions fof 2006 but I'll post them in the new year as I have to get going on these Lotusphere slides now!
