Updated parachute journal includes day 2

Category
Parachute World Cup Journal - Also incudes a video from yesterday, who knew they spun around so much? As a bonus as my firend Lisa said, the team photo has something for everyone

I imagine it's quite a hard sport to coach, as you can't exactly say to the team, ok back to the top and let's try that again.

If they can have Poker on ESPN (since when has poker been a sport by the way?), why can't they have this?

Gravatar Image1 - Gah!! I was so busy last week that I forgot about the World Cup.

Pretty respectable 15.25 point average is for the British Army team, just pipping the British women's team Airkix who scored 15.20.

Being a bit of an Airspeed fan boy it’s good to see them winning again.

So how did this whole sponsorship thing come about? It doesn’t sound like you are involved in the sport, so I assume that someone at Instant Technologies must be. And why a Brit team? Not that I'm complaining about that.

As for coaching, we have to get by with walking through the sequences on the ground, laying it down on creepers and visualisation. Stonking great big wind tunnels help as well

Man I need to get back in the air…

Gravatar Image2 - Ah, OK, just spotted the name of the team Captain. Is that it?

Gravatar Image3 - Yes there is a definite connection in the name

To be honest though the sponsorship is based on more than just a family connection, some of our products are having great success within the military, so the connection between a team sport involving military personel and software where teams of military personel can work together was a strong one for me.

Other benefits, Google searches involving british army and real time.

Potential MOD press release.

They had a chance to win, how cool would that have been!

The images of our company logo being held by parachuters is very strong.

Also has the potential to make for some interesting freebies at Lotusphere

Orlando has a nice skyventure tunnel don't you know. Spent many a fun hour in there.

The teamwork angle for FS skydiving is huge. You just can't do FS well without it. I'd love to see more exposure of that in the mainstream, especialy in the collaboration market.

Gravatar Image5 - In respect to your friend Lisa comment - "the team photo has something for everyone" I assume that your wink makes it have some kind of sexual undertone. So, that would make the lovely looking lady a bi-sexual? Wow!

Gravatar Image6 - Hi! I'm a skydiver (200 jumps FS) ...Im going to lotusphere 2007 and I'd like to meet up with some skydivers!! I'll be landing in Orlando on the 19th of January and I'd like to to a couple of jumps on the 20th. Please let me know if you wanna head off to a DZ!!\
