Gravatar Image1 - Carl - the US Media has a spine as long as they can make money from it. Both sides, left and right whine about how the other controls the media. Nothing could be further from the truth. The media controls itself, and it's lead by the same thing that leads most other corporate entities - the almighty dollar.
This idea that somehow the "media" is in business for the public good is absolute bullshit and should be recognized and then stomped into everyone's head. Perhaps then we'd have a proper perspective.
