Dear Sven

I realise that England is not your homeland, so I can understand how it is difficult to get passionate about a foreign countries soccer team, but please, in the future can you remind the players that you pick that they are playing for their COUNTRY, they should be proud and above all feeling privileged to have been given the opportunity to represent the great people of our nation. That means in the tradtion of all great Englishmen, they run their little socks off until they can run no more, they take one for the team, they do whatever has to be done!
In yesterdays loss against Denmark, who's players had turned up to play football with passion and heart, we had one player on the England team who had come to do the same, a young Mr Rooney. Perhaps at training camp, you could teach your squad that it is ok to run off the ball and create space? Perhaps you could teach the players the national anthem, I don't care if they sing out of tune, at least get them moving their lips in time. Perhaps you could let them play how they play for their regular team? I can't help but feel If you had chosen players from the championship league we would have had a more passionate display, certainly better than the over paid mummies boys you had put forward as our team yesterday. As my parents used to tell me, we don't mind if you get Fs as long as we know you tried your best, sadly yesterday the team got an F for results and an F for effort.
Anyway Sven, I hope you realise how important this sport is to the rest of the country, please kick a few backsides and forget the Mr Nice guy image, rip them a new a' hole and make sure they never give us such a performance ever again.
I hope this letter finds you well,
Carl
