that I passionately hate Mosquitos. My immune systems reacts badly to them and within seconds of being bitten I have a welt the size of a small island.

Last night as I was falling asleep, I could hear a solitary mosquito in my room that I knew was about to have a smorgasbord buffet on my flesh throughout the night. So as I fell asleep I couldn't help but think of ideas to rid the world or the area surrounding myself of Mosquitos, and I think I came up with a solution.

Could it be possible to build a human bug zapper? Could I charge my body with enough electric charge that if a mosquito or some other bug landed on me it would get enough of a shock, not neccessarily to kill it, but deter it from latching on and sucking my blood. Maybe a device that involves a small battery worn over the shoulder that somehow gives the human body the opposite charge to a mosquito? Any geniuses out there? I would be happy to beta test any devices that inflict pain on Mosquitos.

I have a bug zapper on my back porch. My mom gave it to me as kind of a gag gift, but I've been using it this past week! The noise scares the crap out of the cats, especially when a particularly big 'skeeter gets caught in there.

Gravatar Image3 - Rich I love gadgets like that! Growing up in England we had a guy called Wilf something on a program called Vision On who built crazy gadgets with eggs rolling down slides and things, they were excellent. This video reminds me of his gadgets.

I really miss "The Incredible Machine" games too.

Better living through chemicals!

If you drink it, it permeates all your pores, and you'll never have a mosquito problem again!

Gravatar Image5 - Maybe some modifications to this new device would work, Carl. Might need to tone down the wattage!

Gravatar Image6 - Didnt IBM have a "personal area network" a while back that would exchange data via skin contact ? Didnt they realise that steel urinals would be a major source of information trolling ?

Just jack up the voltage on that ?
