Sametime 7.0 Release Notes?

Category
Having downloaded the Sametime 7.0 beta and not finding release notes a friend at Lotus let me know the release notes were in a separate download on the beta page, obvious , any way here is the official what's new in Sametime 7.0 from the Release Notes (with my comments).

  • Improved Test Conference utility for testing web conferences and client connectivity - perhaps my little Sametime meeting test utility will no longer be needed.
  • The StdebugTool.exe utility - I guess the new feature is it's now documented?
  • Macintosh version of the Sametime Connect for the desktop client - Now this is good news and long overdue!
  • Operating Sametime and Lotus Quickplace servers on the same computer (iSeries, AIX, and Solaris platforms) - Good news, but why not Windows? Most SMBs are running Windows and really miss this capability (sweeping statement of the day)
  • Full integration of instant messaging into the Lotus Domino server - kind of a stretch calling these new Sametime features, these are really Domino/Notes features.

Comments

Gravatar Image1 - Hardly qualifies as an upgrade really!

Gravatar Image2 - Hi, I'm using sametime 3.1 and wanted to test the beta version of 7.0 - where can I download it? we're thinking of upgrading our entire system when the 7.0 comes available in 2006.
Thanks, Dvir.
