Microsoft settles IBM antitrust claims - IBM pays 3.5 Billion for Lotus and today they get $850 million back from Microsoft. not a bad investment. Personally I still believe IBM/Lotus lost with OS/2 and SmartSuite not so much because of Microsoft's monopoly (which they didn't have at the time) but through a lot of stupid management decisions. Still not too bad when you can get some cash for it. So one has to ask, with IBM moving to Workplace, why the hell do they need a voucher for $75 million in Microsoft Software?
