Short notice from Microsoft

I have been booked for a few weeks on a MS webcast for about Live Communications Server, and just received this email 2 1/2 hours before it starts.
Thank you for your interest in attending the web seminar titled Chalk Talk Pro Series - An Introduction to Live Communication Server 2005, scheduled for 2/16/2005, 3:00-4:30PM (PST). Our speaker is sick today and is unable to present. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. We plan to reschedule this event and will be posting the new date as soon as it is available. Please check our web site frequently as new sessions are being added daily. http://msreadiness.com/webcast/webcasts.asp

I hope the presenter gets better, but this is a big company you'd think they'd have backups for exactly this kind of occurence. If you're ever planning an event, it's a good idea to assume anything that can go wrong will go wrong, things tend to move much more smoothly then.

Gravatar Image1 - What I find odd about the message is that they mention the speaker is sick. I could see if they had to cancel because of a family emergency or something of that nature, but why mention that the speaker is sick. I don't know, maybe I'm just too picky when it comes to the public image of a "big company."
