I was driving back from Boston yesterday having met with my Immigration attorney (always an interesting meeting) and Pat Buchanan was on the radio. A couple of years ago I had Mr. Buchanan firmly in the "a few cans short of a six pack" category, but yesterday he was talking about Bush and the Iraq war, and I sat there feeling sick to my stomach as I pretty much agreed with everything he said. I know people think I'm a lefty because I think GW is a complete moron, but to be honest I have always had very very conservative values, I always thought Margaret Thatcher was a bit of a hero for example. But agreeing with Pat Buchanan? Come back skin, please come back, I pormise not to think it again...

Good to hear Donald Rumsfeld the other day mixing up Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, perhaps that's why Iraq war started, they do look very similar? Nice to see George W playing nice with the UN, after he pretty much called it a waste of space last year. Oh how times change, and people learn. Sad that he's learning with the expense of other people's lives though.

Gravatar Image1 - Sounds like me and our weekly liberal paper called The Willamette Week. I can pretty much guarantee I'll come down opposite of whatever measure or candidate they are endorsing. So when I find myself agreeing with them, I have to step back and wonder where I went wrong...
