Penny Responds...

Category
Someone was kind enough to point Penny to my comments about her quote regarding the AOL interaction, which was in my posting "Not sure I'd agree with IBM's stance on this one". She took the time to respond and I chekcked and she said it was fine for me to share with everyone else.
Thought I'd just send you a quick note to clarify my intentions in the press article you referenced on your blog. I did say that our customers set our priorities and we have been focused on the scalability, reliability and security factors that have been most important to our enterprise customers. ...And that we will continue to respond to our customer's needs as they evolve. In fact, our customers will continue to set our agenda, not recent announcements. I talked about how our dedication to --and support of-- the SIP and SIMPLE standards have enabled the very interoperability between networks that is the subject of this discussion. I also went on to say that this type of interoperability is clearly part of our vision, as we work toward creation and implementation of these standards.

Hope this provides a little more insight to our vision on interoperability.

Regards,
Penny
