Took the dog for a nice long walk this morning, found a great sanctuary a short walk from the new place. It's on a small out crop of land on the other side of the river to the town, I took some pictures with the phone and posted them (you can click on the picture on the right to see them), although it was really foggy so some are very grey.

You can see in one of the photos that the thaw up here has begun but there are still a few big chunks of ice floating around in the river. This was not enough to stop the dog from deciding that it was still warm enough to chase some ducks. The good news is that walks like this with lots of swimming always zonk the dog out which gives me a chance to unpack a few more boxes, yes there are still a few to go. I finally got all the wood that was in my basement that I had moved into my car, out of the car and into the loft. Another lesson that is always learnt when moving, the heavy awkward stuff always has the most bends and stairs to negotiate.
