Gregory's Girl

Category
Tonight I am going to watch Gregory's Girl, I haven't seen this movie in about 20 years, so it will be interesting to see what I think of it now that I have gone through puberty (or so the rumour goes). I do remember Claire Grogan being in the movie, and she was also lead singer of Altered Image (It's ya Birthday, it's ya birthday fame), who later went on to have a part in early Red Dwarf episodes as Kochanski, only to be replaced in later episodes by a different Kochanski who was no where near as appealing.

This movie could well be where my attraction to Scottish accents came from, but I'm not totally sure of that.I'll know for sure later this evening.

Gravatar Image1 - I remember really liking the movie, although I admit I was past puberty at that point.

Gravatar Image2 - I remember this film fondly, for a lot of reasons, but the reason that the film sticks in my mind the most is the penguin. I never figured out the penguin. Has anybody ever figured out why there's someone walking around in a penguin suit?

Gravatar Image3 - Searching Google, his name is Christopher Higgins, and no one really seems to know why he is there.

Although some say his name is Linus...

Gravatar Image4 - My partner introduced me to this film, a couple of years ago. Its a classic, I have always liked Claire Grogan (saw her first in Red Dwarf), and she is wondeful in the film...

She also introduced me to Withnail and I, another classic film...

Gravatar Image5 - "Withnail and I" is a great film. "Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day." The script can be found here:
