I've arrived safely in New York

I took the Feng Shui bus down here, and it was just fine, and you can't really beat $10. The friend I'm staying with in NYC has a great little apartment that looks out right onto the Empire State building. King Kong wasn't hanging off it, but it was lit up very nicely. It was lit up Red/Black (no lights)/Green for Martin Luther King Jr. Day today. Tomorrow it's supposed to be Red/Red/Yellow for the Lunar New Year.
Coming to a place like New York is still one of those things that makes me sit back and go wow, I live in foreign country.
One of the great things about my friends apartment is that non of her neighbours know about wirless security, so they have all these gateways left open for me to surf away and do e-mail.
