Trainers and computer games?

QuickImage Category
Trainers a.k.a. sneakers doing deals with computer games, whatever next? I've mentioned my buddy who works for Puma before I think, here he is quoted in an article about a marketing hookup they just did with Activision:

"Video gaming is a phenomenon with a diverse appeal. From the skate kids, to the hipsters and fashionistas, gaming is the common denominator to a widespread audience, and a distinctive medium for PUMA to utilize to interact with consumers," said Barney Waters, Marketing Director for PUMA North America. "Activision's True Crime: Streets of L.A. is going to be a massive hit and was the obvious and choice for us to partner with."

It's a bit of a change from his marketing job at Lotus. See the full press release here: http://www.newstream.com/cgi-bin/display_story.cgi?11181

Gravatar Image1 - Ha ha! I'm honored Carl to get a mention on your famous blog! The True Crime game is going to be great, similar to GTA Vice City but without the ability to pick up hookers (not the best brand association). Keep up the great blog!
