Sametime Meeting Center and Conference databases

Category
I am sure other people have experienced this, and it was just recently I remembered how bad it was; yep, I've been messing around for the last couple of weeks in the STCENTER.NSF and STCONF.NSF, the two databases that are responsible for displaying and scheduling meetings on Sametime servers. Typically the first thing that people want to do with these databases when they install Sametime is customise them to look like the rest of their website.

Looking at these databases and how they have developed over the years I can't help but think that the poor people who built them were dropped in at the deep end with very little prior Domino Designer experience. This is speculation on my part, but it certainly looks that way.

I think I may have to take a long weekend soon and totally rebuild this db with simple options, like attach your logo here, define your colours here etc. It would save me so much time when doing this stuff for clients.

At least there is something in the draft redbook Building Sametime Enabled Applications that goes into this a bit, but it should be easier.
