Rugby World Cup

QuickImage Category
For those of you out of touch with the rest of the World, you probably haven't realised that the Rugby World Cup kicks off today. There is something for everyone, even Americans; Many don't even know what Rugby is, but America actually has a team in the Rugby World Cup.

TV Coverage over here in America is about as good as the international news coverage, i.e. none, so I can read results on the web, although I am investigating to see if the Rugby World Cup is on Fox Sports World. See details on the World Cup here.

Of even more importance today is International Football (soccer), a couple of games that I am obviously interested in are England versus Turkey and Wales versus Serbia Montenegro, GO ENGLAND/WALES!!! These are the final games in the qualifying stages for Euro 2004, if England can beat Turkey they get immediate qualification no need to play in play-offs. If Wales win and Italy lose, Wales can also get immediate qualification. So think bad thoughts for the Italian team...

Gravatar Image1 - England made it then - just. I think Becks must have thought he was in Australia and scored 3 points with his penalty!

Gravatar Image2 - I think the turkish keeper should've had a red card instead of a yellow - whaddya think ?

Gravatar Image3 - See that lovely icon you used, I just bought that sweatshirt over in Paris.

Gravatar Image4 - Hard luck at missing all the action. Those of us on Digital TV in the UK can watch every match. As long as you don't mind getting up early as some of them start at 7 am (Italy v New Zealand was 5:30!)

Come along to the rugby blog site at http://www.rugbyblog.com and leave a comment!
