Saw two movies this weekend...

QuickImage Category
School of Rock and Lost In Translation.

School of Rock was a great feel good movie, a couple of times I wanted to applaud with the audience in the movie, which if you know me is a very rare thing indeed (either that or I've been in America too long). I like many first saw Jack Black in High Fidelity with John Cusack, and thought wow what a character. School of Rock takes all his strengths and shows them at their best, I give it 4.5 out of 5, if you want to see a movie with the family, girlfriend, best friend, whatever School of Rock is a fun movie. Be sure to stay for the end credits and listen to the lyrics.

Lost in Translation with Bill Murray was very different to School of Rock, more subtle humour, but I wanted to see this one because of the trips I've done to Japan in the past. I thought Sophia Coppola did a great job of showing how many western visitors see Tokyo. The very first time I went to Tokyo it was raining and foggy, and with all the neon I felt like I had landed on the set of Blade Runner (another great movie), although I enjoyed Lost in Translation I'm only giving it a 3.5 out of 5, as there were a couple of times during the movie that it just lagged too much. If you go to the movie, I want to know what you think Bill Murray whispered at the end!
