I am going to be away for a week from September 26th (Caymen islands). So is anybody interested in being a guest blogger for a week? If no one ends up volunteering then I warn you now, you may end up with my Dad! (If you want my Dad to blog be sure to put a comment in and vote for him, but that kind of scares me)

So if you're interested in having your picture up here for the week let me know. Blogging does come with a number of benefits, such as

• Hot single groupies - It's hard to go to the store without being swarmed by young attractive girls
• Loyal readers - They do great things like donate to your Concorde flight appeal to sit by your mothers side, and more than double the money you need!
• Did I mention the hot single girls? You even get a few married ones, Tom Jones has nothing on me...
• The real reason you may want to blog? Because you can lie your head off, not a single thing I said above is true, the power of the internet lets you say whatever you want, and if later you decide you don't like it you can just change it and claim someone misread it. Seriously though, this whole blog thing is an interesting experiment and if you want to have a go, shoot me an email, ctyler@instant-tech.com. The Concorde fund raiser was a lie, not a single penny was donated for my trip to help my mother when she will be in hospital

A few pieces of advice if you should choose to volunteer:

• Feel free to pick on Microsoft, no one gets upset with that approach, even Tony will step in if he agrees with you.
• Be sure to question IBMs Websphere strategy as that will get you lots of comments, especially from Ed and Alan.
• Pick on Verisign, as those guys have recently proven they are complete nutters.
• If you pick on Dubbya or the NRA, be prepared for passionate responses, people either love them or hate them. I think you know which category I fall into.
• Mention your parents now and again, if they read it, they'll feel special.
• In fact mention most people you know, they all seem to like it
