Update on Skype...

Well today a number of people installed Skype and added me to their friends list (what were they thinking). I have seen issues, where these friends are online but don't show as online, and the directory search is also a bit flakey. I guess this is the problem with it being a p2p app and not having a central directory and also that it's beta code.
Tony Cocks in the UK was the first to contact me , through the Microsoft corporate network no les and it worked great and then later John Barrow from the UK connected with me, which was pretty funny as I was actually on a real telephone call with someone discussing one of his chapters in the upcoming Sametime redbook, sorry the IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing redbook (they had to rework the Redbook template to fit that name on the cover, no kidding!) anyway, John connected to me and the thing worked a charm, audio quality was great, and we were both using our thinkpads with the built in mics and were weren't getting any echo which is quite an achievement.
