Ouch, this now puts Wales in a really awkward spot for the European Qualifiers, they managed to hold out Italy until half time and then things went south when the Italians pretty much mauled them. Wales will still be able to get a play-off spot if they beat Finland on Wednesday, and if Italy beat Serbia & Montenegro in Belgrade they can even afford to lose 1-0. Now if Italy were to lose, then Wales could even get top spot back and qualify automatically for Euro 2004.
Macedonia 1 - England 2
England are still on track to get automatic qualification, but knowing the English team, we still have plenty of time to cock it up.
