Is it just me or do we all have people and shows on TV we find really really irritating? If we don't then oh well I'm weird, if we do, then here's my starting list for shows and people that I can't believe ever succeeded:

Barbara Walters - I know most people love her, but I just want to hold her head under water until she promises to shut up
All these stupid tv shows like blahblah idol, who wants to marry a millionaire, paradise hotel, marry my dad, the very disturbing children's idol show,
TV reporters or weathermen/women who present with their hands in their pockets, please don't do that, it is way too casual
Celine Dion - Just too much
Reverend Al Sharpton - He was famous when I lived in Poughkeepsie, he was all caught up in the Tawana Brawli incident, didn't like him then, don't like him now.
A number of politicians, too many to really list, but here are a few, John Prescott, Robin Cook, oh there are too many to even try and list them all....
Kathy Lee Gifford - she should be with Barbara Waters, two for the price of one.
Shane Ritchie - I accidentally saw him years ago in Blackpool when he was a comedian for Pontins (I was very very drunk), and he was terrible, he has no talent, I believe he is now on an English show called Eastenders, which about suits his talent level
Lennox Lewis - Overrated boxed
Mariah Carey - please just sing the frigging note properly...
George Bush - Why does he always smirk during really important speeches, and why does he always have a stance that always makes it look like he's presenting to a class of 7 year olds?
Keanu Reeves - was his whole part in the Matrix computer generated? It's hard to tell, if cardboard could act, this would be how it looked
Tony Slattery - Probably only relevant to British readers
Uri Geller - A magician, nothing more, nothing less
Yanni - OK is this the emperors new clothes?

Well there are some of them, I'm sure there are more I just can't think of them right now, when I see them or hear them next I'll now them..I think after doing this I should do a people I respect and like list...

3 - It's definitely not just you!

I agree w/r/t Baba Wawa, Kathy Lee, Keanu, Celine, Mariah, and many of the others you mention. I have a few of my own, too...

- Musicians with just one name.
- Roseanne Barr
- Kevin Costner
- The football (soccer) announcer who screams "gooooooooooooal" (or is it "scooooooooooooooooore"?)
- All announcers for televised figure skating. No, make that the entire concept of televised figure skating.
- All the actors, actresses and characters from Will & Grace.
- Anyone anywhere who says something is "very unique" or "the most unique".
